Super Black Onyx (japan) Game

Super Black Onyx is one of those old-school NES dungeon crawlers that feels like a mix of Wizardry and early Dragon Quest—but with a weirdly satisfying grind. You start in this little town, stock up on gear, then dive straight into the caves underneath. The deeper you go, the nastier the monsters get, and you’ll definitely lose a few party members along the way if you’re not careful.
What I like is how simple it is—no crazy mechanics, just exploring, fighting, and slowly beefing up your squad. The labyrinths can be a pain (bring a notepad for mapping), but stumbling onto a new weapon or finally taking down that one enemy that kept wrecking you feels great. It’s got that classic Japan-only NES charm—rough around the edges, but weirdly addictive once it hooks you.
