Super Black Bass Pocket 2 is one of those weirdly addictive Game Boy fishing sims that somehow makes reeling in pixelated fish way more exciting than it should be. You pick your lure, cast into these little ponds and rivers, and then wait for that satisfying BZZZT when something bites. The physics feel oddly realistic—if you yank too hard, the line snaps, but if you play it too safe, the fish gets away.
It’s got that classic late-90s handheld charm, with chunky sprites and a surprisingly deep system for different baits and locations. I spent way too long trying to figure out which lure worked best in murky water (spoiler: frogs). Not gonna lie, the menus are all in Japanese, but after a few tries, you kinda just muscle-memory your way through it.
Perfect for killing time when you want something simple but weirdly satisfying. Just don’t blame me when you accidentally spend an hour trying to beat your personal best bass weight.
