Super Black Bass Pocket 2 on Game Boy is one of those weirdly satisfying fishing sims where you actually feel like you're out on the water. The pixelated lakes look surprisingly peaceful—just you, your rod, and the occasional ripple when a bass bites.
At first, I kept losing fish because I'd reel in too fast, but once you get the rhythm down (slow taps when they're fighting, steady cranks when they're tired), it clicks. The bigger bass put up a real fight—your line tension meter turns red, and you swear you're about to lose them.
It's way smoother than the first game, with better water effects and more lure options. I wasted way too much time trying to figure out which plastic worm worked best in murky water. If you ever played fishing games as a kid, this one nails that simple, grindy fun.
