Super B-Daman - Battle Phoenix 64 is one of those weirdly addictive N64 games that somehow makes launching marbles at each other feel intense. You pick your B-Daman (little robot marble-shooter things), customize their loadout, and then it’s basically high-speed dodgeball with way more explosions. The controls take a second to get used to—holding down the button charges your shot, and timing the release just right is the difference between a glancing hit and a full-on KO.
The single-player’s fine, but where this game really shines is multiplayer. Two players, same screen, absolute chaos. There’s something hilarious about watching your friend’s carefully aimed ricochet shot bounce off three walls… only to smack you in the back. The arenas are small but packed with little hazards and angles to exploit, so matches never feel repetitive. Just don’t expect deep lore—it’s all about quick rounds and yelling at the TV.
If you’ve got a soft spot for obscure N64 arena battlers, this one’s a surprisingly solid time waster.
