Man, Street Fighter II on Game Boy—it’s wild how much they squeezed into that little cartridge. Yeah, the graphics are a bit chunky, and Ryu’s fireball sounds like a fax machine, but you’ve still got all eight fighters from the arcade version. Chun-Li’s lightning legs, Guile’s upside-down hair, the whole crew.
At first, the controls feel stiff compared to the arcade stick, but after a few rounds, you start landing those dragon punches like it’s nothing. The AI’s brutal, though—Vega will absolutely wreck you if you’re not careful. And good luck trying to pull off Zangief’s spinning pile driver without breaking your thumbs.
It’s still the same classic tournament setup: beat up a bunch of fighters, get salty when Bison cheap-shots you, then try again. Somehow, it never gets old. Even on a tiny screen, throwing a Hadouken feels like magic.
