Strategic Confrontation Game

Strategic Confrontation is one of those NES games that looks simple at first—just moving little units around a grid—but then suddenly you're three hours deep, muttering to yourself about flanking maneuvers. The sprites are basic, sure, but there's something weirdly satisfying about watching your tiny army slowly overwhelm the enemy's forces.
At first, I kept losing because I'd just rush in, but the game really punishes you for that. Turns out, holding high ground and baiting the AI into bad positions works way better. The music’s got that classic NES chip-tune urgency, too—like it’s low-key judging you for every bad move.
If you’re into old-school strategy with zero hand-holding, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t blame me when you start dreaming in hex grids.
