About Star Voyager
Star Voyager came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed and published by ASCII Corporation. It was part of that wave of early NES titles that tried to bring different kinds of arcade and computer experiences home. You got a lot of games about spaceships back then, but this one had its own particular feel.
You pilot a small starfighter viewed from a first-person cockpit. Your main goal is to survive by navigating through asteroid fields, engaging enemy ships, and managing your limited fuel and shields. The game plays out screen by screen; you move forward into new sectors, and each one presents a new hazard or enemy formation. You need to constantly monitor your resources, deciding when to fight and when to evade to make it further. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as you venture deeper. It feels like a tense, solitary journey where every decision carries weight.
