Okay, so this is the NES version of Star Trek—and honestly, it's kind of a weird one. You start off commanding the Enterprise in this top-down space shooter, but it's not like the show at all. Instead of diplomacy and phasers, you're mostly just blasting Klingon ships while trying to manage your energy levels. The controls are clunky, and the graphics are... well, very 8-bit.
At first, I had no idea what I was doing—just flying around, shooting anything that moved. Then I realized you actually have to dock at starbases to refuel, or you're toast. The Klingons come at you in waves, and if you run out of energy mid-battle, it's game over. Not exactly the deep tactical experience you'd expect from Star Trek, but it’s got that old-school arcade vibe.
Fun if you're into retro games, but don’t expect anything close to the TV series. You’ll either love it for its weirdness or hate it for being nothing like the source material.
