Star Trek - 25th Anniversary Game

Okay, so Star Trek - 25th Anniversary on NES is... an experience. You start off with the Enterprise just floating in space, and honestly, the controls feel a little stiff at first—like trying to steer a shopping cart with one wobbly wheel. But once you get the hang of it, there’s something weirdly charming about the whole thing.
You’ve got basic phaser fights, some awkwardly translated dialogue (classic NES), and missions that feel like they were pulled straight from a random TOS episode. The ship-to-ship combat is clunky but kinda fun in a "I’m yelling at my screen" way. And yeah, the graphics are what you’d expect from a late-80s Trek game—lots of blocky Klingons and pixelated nebulas.
Pro tip: Save often. The game doesn’t always play fair. Still, if you’re a Trek fan with patience for janky old-school games, it’s got that nostalgic pull. Just don’t expect it to hold up like the SNES version.
