Star Sweep Game

Star Sweep on the Game Boy is one of those puzzle games that sneaks up on you—it looks simple at first, just matching colored blocks in space, but before long you're sweating over chain reactions and timing your moves like some kind of intergalactic Tetris master. The blocks have this satisfying chunky feel when they clear, and the music nails that old-school bleep-bloop charm without being annoying.
I’ll admit, the first few levels tricked me into thinking it was too easy, but around level 10, the game starts throwing curveballs—some blocks don’t disappear unless you match them twice, others explode if you take too long. And yeah, the "space" theme is basically just a background, but who cares when the core gameplay clicks this well? It’s the kind of game you flip open during a commute, then realize you’ve missed your stop because you were one combo away from beating your high score.
If you’ve got a soft spot for 90s handheld puzzles, this one’s a quiet little banger. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing falling blocks in your dreams.
