Star Luster is one of those old-school space shooters where you're glued to the cockpit view, blasting asteroids and enemy ships before they even get close. It feels like a stripped-down Star Fox before Star Fox existed—just you, your ship, and a whole lot of pixelated space to navigate.
The controls take a second to click (especially if you're used to modern shooters), but once you get the hang of the radar and targeting, dodging incoming fire becomes this weirdly satisfying dance. The music’s got that classic Namco arcade vibe—simple but catchy in that way only 8-bit tunes can be.
It’s not the deepest space sim out there, but for a quick, no-nonsense arcade-style blaster, it holds up better than you’d expect. Just don’t expect fancy cutscenes or upgrades—this is pure 80s arcade action, straight from the Famicom era.
