Star Fox 64 is one of those N64 games that just feels right the moment you pick it up. You jump into Fox McCloud’s Arwing, and suddenly you’re weaving through asteroid fields, blasting enemy fighters, and hearing that ridiculous but weirdly charming voice acting ("Do a barrel roll!"). The rumble pack was a game-changer back then—you actually feel hits and explosions, which makes every close call way more intense.
What’s cool is how the levels branch depending on how well you do—screw up, and you might get stuck on the easy path, but ace your way through, and you unlock tougher, more chaotic routes. The controls are tight, the music slaps, and honestly, it’s still one of the best arcade-style shooters out there. Just try not to get too annoyed at Slippy’s constant "Help me, Fox!" moments.
