Stanley Search For Dr. Livingston Game

Stanley: Search for Dr. Livingston is one of those NES deep cuts that feels like a fever dream—in a good way. You play as Stanley, stumbling through jungles, caves, and mountains trying to track down the famously lost Dr. Livingston. The game throws everything at you: giant spiders, tribal warriors, even ghosts, and all you’ve got is this weird ancient armor that barely counts as protection.
The levels are brutal in that classic NES way—lots of trial and error, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about finally figuring out the right path. The password save system is a lifesaver, because trust me, you’ll need it. The graphics have this eerie charm, especially the underground sections where everything’s just… slightly off. Not sure if it was intentional, but it works.
If you’re into obscure platformers with a weird vibe, this one’s worth digging up.
