Spy vs Spy on NES is this weirdly addictive little game where you play as either the black or white spy, sneaking around a hotel planting traps and trying to outsmart the other guy. The controls take a second to get used to—you'll be fumbling with Z and X for attacks while dodging exploding suitcases—but once it clicks, it's pure chaos.
Each room has these ridiculous hidden items (who leaves a shotgun in a dresser drawer?) and the whole thing feels like a cartoonish Cold War slap fight. The music's got that classic NES tension, all bouncy basslines and sudden stings when someone gets caught in a trap. I always go for the black spy—no real reason, just feels right.
Fair warning: your first few matches will probably end with you walking face-first into your own landmine. It's part of the charm.
