Remember that old-school Spy vs Spy madness from the comics? This Game Boy version nails the chaotic backstabbing vibe perfectly. You pick either the black or white spy, then sneak around a maze-like building setting traps—spring-loaded fists, bombs, you name it—while trying to steal secret documents before the other guy does.
First time I played, I walked straight into a falling anvil trap (classic). The controls take a second to get used to—holding buttons to set traps feels a little clunky at first—but once you get the rhythm, it’s hilarious watching your opponent faceplant into your carefully placed dynamite. The monochrome graphics actually work in its favor, keeping things clean so you can focus on the mayhem.
Best part? Two-player mode. Grab a friend and spend half the time laughing as you both get wrecked by your own poorly placed traps. It’s a weirdly strategic kind of chaos.
