Spot : The Cool Adventure Game

Remember that little red dot from the 90s? Yeah, Spot—the one that somehow made bouncing around a screen weirdly charming. Well, someone finally gave him his own Game Boy platformer, and it’s way more fun than it has any right to be.
The first level throws you right into it: Spot’s got this floaty little jump, and you’re immediately hopping over spikes and dodging these weird, squiggly enemies. The controls take a second to get used to—he slides a bit when you land—but once it clicks, you’ll be nailing pixel-perfect jumps between tiny platforms.
What surprised me was how much personality they squeezed into this. The music’s got that classic Game Boy chiptune vibe, and the levels hide little secrets if you poke around (look for fake walls). It’s not just nostalgia bait, either—the later levels actually get pretty tough. I got stuck on this one ice stage for way too long.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro platformers, this one’s a solid time-waster. Just don’t blame me when you start humming the theme song.
