Space Invaders on the Game Boy is basically the classic arcade shooter you know, but now it fits in your pocket. You're still lining up shots against those iconic pixel aliens creeping down the screen, but something about playing it on that tiny green-lit screen just feels right.
It's simple—move left, move right, shoot—but those aliens speed up the closer they get, and that panic when they're almost at the bottom never gets old. The Game Boy version keeps it faithful, though I swear the hit detection feels a little different than the arcade. Maybe it's just me.
Still, there's a reason this thing became a legend. It's pure, unfiltered arcade tension in black and white.
