About South Park - Chef's Luv Shack (europe)
South Park: Chef's Luv Shack came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was part of that wave of games trying to cash in on TV show popularity, and it felt very much like a product of its time on the N64. You got the four main kids and the show's humor, but it was a strange mix of a trivia game and a minigame collection.
You pick one of the four boys and compete in a game show hosted by Chef, answering pop culture trivia questions. Between questions, you play short minigames, things like a snowball fight or a cow launching contest. The main goal is just to get the highest score by the end of the round. The pacing is fast and a bit chaotic, with the minigames breaking up the trivia. It's not a particularly difficult game, but the controls in some of the action segments can feel clumsy. Playing it is a very silly, repetitive experience that relies entirely on whether you find its particular brand of humor funny.
