Ever played one of those "push the crate" puzzle games? Soukoban (or Boxxle, depending on where you got it) is the Game Boy version, and it’s way harder than it looks. You start off thinking, "Oh, just slide boxes onto targets, no big deal"—then suddenly you’re three moves deep, realizing you just trapped yourself in a corner.
The first few levels ease you in, but by stage 10 or so, you’ll be staring at the screen, mentally retracing every push. The puzzles are simple in concept but brutal in execution, and there are so many of them. I lost track of how many times I had to reset because I nudged a box one tile too far.
If you like methodical, "think three steps ahead" kind of games, this one’s a classic for a reason. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on level 20 for an hour.
