About Soukoban 2 (japan)
Thinking Rabbit released Soukoban 2 for the Game Boy in 1991, a time when portable puzzle games were becoming a staple of the system. It was a direct sequel to the original Soukoban, continuing the tradition of methodical box-pushing challenges in a handheld format.
You control a warehouse worker navigating single-screen rooms. Your goal is to push every crate onto a marked target space. The core mechanics are simple: you can only push crates, not pull them, and if you shove one into a corner or against another crate, it becomes permanently stuck, forcing a restart. The game progresses screen by screen, with each new stage introducing more complex layouts and a greater number of boxes to manage. The difficulty ramps up steadily, demanding careful planning of every move several steps in advance. Solving a particularly stubborn puzzle provides a quiet, satisfying sense of relief.
