Snow Brothers came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed by Toaplan. It was part of that wave of NES games where you could play with a friend, a simple two player co-op option that was still a treat. The game doesn't try to be an epic; it fits right in with other straightforward action titles from that period.

You control one of two brothers, Nick or Tom, and your goal is to clear each single screen level of every enemy. Your main weapon is a stream of snow that you shoot at foes. After you hit an enemy a few times, it gets trapped inside a giant snowball. You can then roll that snowball across the screen, and it will knock out any other enemies it touches, sometimes clearing a whole row at once. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty builds steadily as you face more enemies and trickier platform layouts. It feels satisfying to build up a massive snowball and watch it plow through a crowd.
