Snow Bros Jr. on Game Boy is one of those weird little arcade ports that somehow works better than it should. You play as these two snowmen—Nick and Tom—rolling around, turning enemies into giant snowballs by pelting them with snowflakes. Then you kick those snowballs down the icy slopes, wiping out everything in their path. It’s simple, but there’s something satisfying about watching a chain reaction clear half the screen.
The controls are tight, and the levels get surprisingly tricky later on. King Scorch (who looks like a discount Bowser) kidnapped the princess, so you’re basically doing the whole "rescue mission" thing, but honestly, I just liked bouncing snowballs off walls to hit enemies I couldn’t even see. The music’s got that classic Game Boy chiptune charm too—kinda repetitive, but it sticks in your head.
If you’ve played Bubble Bobble, it’s a similar vibe but with way more snow. Definitely a solid pick if you’re into old-school arcade-style games.
