Snow Bros. Jr. came out for the Game Boy in 1991, published by Capcom. It was part of that wave of arcade-style games adapted for handheld play, a time when you could carry a pocketful of colorful, simple action wherever you went.

You control one of two snowmen, Nick or Tom, and your job is to clear each single-screen stage of enemies. You do this by throwing snow at them; a direct hit encases an enemy in a snowball. You can then push that snowball, and if it hits another enemy or a wall, it shatters. Sometimes you can roll a large snowball by combining several smaller ones, which clears the screen when you kick it. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty comes from enemy patterns and navigating the platforms. It feels like a brisk, cheerful puzzle where you are constantly looking for the most efficient way to trap everyone at once.
