Snobo Kids (J) is one of those N64 snowboarding games that somehow nails the weird mix of arcade speed and slightly janky physics. You pick from a handful of kids (the tiny one’s my go-to—feels faster, even if it’s probably just placebo), then blast down slopes packed with half-pipes, ramps, and the occasional out-of-nowhere tree. The tracks have these sneaky alternate routes too—miss one and you’re stuck watching your friends disappear into the distance.
Multiplayer’s where it really shines, though. Four players crammed around a CRT, slamming into each other mid-air while someone yells about stolen shortcuts? Yeah, that’s the good stuff. It’s not the prettiest or smoothest snowboarder on the system, but there’s a chaotic charm to it that keeps us coming back.
