About Snobo Kids (j)
Snobo Kids (J) came out in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, published by Athena. It was part of that wave of early 3D platformers on the system, games that were figuring out how to move characters in a new dimension. You don't hear much about it now, but it had its own little corner of the N64 library.
You control a kid on a snowboard, navigating a series of obstacle-filled courses. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage, collecting items and performing tricks along the way. Signature mechanics include a momentum-based jumping system where you build speed for bigger leaps, and a trick system that lets you spin and flip in the air for bonus points. The pacing is generally fast, though some precise platforming sections can slow you down and add a bit of challenge. It feels like a straightforward, arcade-style snowboarding adventure.
