Okay, so Smurfs Travel the World on Game Boy is exactly what it sounds like—a little blue adventure where you hop continents with Papa Smurf and the gang. It’s one of those early platformers where you’re mostly jumping over gaps and dodging enemies (wasps, spiders, the usual). The levels are themed after real places—Egypt, China, stuff like that—but don’t expect deep cultural commentary. Just smurfs in hats.
Controls are simple, but the hit detection can be… generous. Like, you’ll swear you cleared that cactus, but nope. The music’s cheerful in that tinny Game Boy way, and the puzzles are light—mostly pushing blocks or finding keys. Not gonna lie, it’s a kids’ game, but if you’re into retro charm or just really love smurfs, it’s a weirdly cozy time. You’ll probably finish it in an afternoon.
