You control a World War II era fighter plane, viewed from above, and your goal is to survive each stage by clearing the screen of enemies. Your primary actions are moving the plane to dodge a constant barrage of enemy fire and ground-based anti-aircraft guns, while holding down the fire button to unleash a stream of bullets. You collect power-ups by destroying certain ground targets, which upgrade your main weapon from a single bullet to wider spreads or lasers, though you lose these upgrades when you die. The pacing is relentless; enemies swarm from all directions, and the screen is often thick with projectiles, making memorization and quick reflexes essential.
