Skate Or Die 2 - The Search For Double Trouble Game
📅 1990 ✍️ Electronic Arts

Skate or Die 2 is one of those NES games that looks way cooler than it actually is—don’t get me wrong, the pixelated skateboarding action is fun, but the controls take some getting used to. You’ve got this weird mix of side-scrolling and top-down sections where you’re either pulling off tricks or racing against other skaters, and half the time you’ll wipe out because the physics feel a little… unpredictable.
The Search for Double Trouble part? Yeah, it’s basically you chasing down some stolen skate gear while dodging cops and rival skaters. The soundtrack’s got that classic chiptune energy, and the levels are short enough that you won’t rage-quit (probably). Just don’t expect Tony Hawk-level depth—this is pure ‘80s arcade chaos.
Oh, and pro tip: hold down the jump button longer for bigger air. Took me way too many faceplants to figure that out.
