Okay, so Bart vs. The World is basically the NES sequel to Bart vs. The Space Mutants, but way less frustrating. The controls actually work this time—no more sliding off platforms because Bart decided to moonwalk mid-jump. You’re still running around smashing stuff and collecting weird items (why does Bart need a giant pencil?), but now there’s way more to do, like skateboarding through China or dodging yetis in the Himalayas.
It’s still classic Simpsons weirdness, just with fewer rage-quit moments. The levels are longer, the bosses are actually fun to fight, and somehow, it feels like they crammed every dumb joke they could into the sprite animations. If you played the first one and hated it (who didn’t?), give this one a shot—it’s the version that doesn’t make you want to throw your controller.
