Shock Wave on NES is one of those weird little puzzle games that starts simple but gets brutal fast. You're basically a space scavenger hunting for alien crystals before these other guys—the Rastons—beat you to it. Your only tool is this shockwave pistol that doesn't even work like you'd expect: shoot a block, and the force ripples through adjacent ones instead. Took me a few tries to stop accidentally trapping myself in corners.

The mazes start off manageable, but later levels throw in teleporters, force fields, and these annoying FireStars that chip away at your suit while you're trying to think. The time limit doesn't help either—nothing like hearing that warning beep while you're still figuring out which blocks to nudge first. And yeah, you'll definitely use that restart button. A lot.

It's the kind of game where you'll solve one puzzle feeling like a genius, then immediately get humbled by the next. If you like methodical, slightly stressful NES-era brain teasers, this one's worth a shot.
