Shin 4 Nin Uchi Mahjong - Yakuman Tengoku (japan) Game
📅 1987 ✍️ Home Data

Shin 4 Nin Uchi Mahjong is one of those old-school NES mahjong games that feels like digging up a time capsule. The pixel art is charmingly simple, and the gameplay is straightforward—no fancy gimmicks, just classic Japanese mahjong with four players. The AI can be brutal if you're not used to the rules, though.
First thing you'll notice? The music. It's that kind of repetitive, slightly grating chiptune that somehow grows on you after a few rounds. The controls take a second to get used to—selecting tiles with the D-pad feels a little stiff at first, but you adjust. And yeah, it's in Japanese, so if you don't know the kanji for the tiles, you might spend the first five minutes just figuring out what's what.
Not the deepest mahjong sim out there, but if you're into retro games or just want a no-frills way to practice, it's got its charm. Just don't expect the AI to go easy on you.
