Shanghai on the NES is basically digital mahjong solitaire—you know, the one where you match identical tiles to clear the board. The Japanese version keeps things simple: no fancy animations, just clean tile designs and that satisfying click when you make a match.
At first glance, it seems easy, but some layouts will have you staring at the screen way longer than you’d expect. The music’s oddly relaxing, though, so you won’t even mind when you’re stuck hunting for that one last pair. If you’ve ever played the physical version, this is a solid way to kill time without shuffling actual tiles.
