Shadow Man (F) game

Shadow Man on N64 is this weird, moody action-adventure that starts with you crawling out of a grave—yeah, not exactly sunshine and rainbows. You play as Mike LeRoi, a dude who’s also the Shadow Man, caught between the living world and this creepy afterlife called Deadside. The voodoo atmosphere is thick, and the levels are these sprawling, interconnected nightmares full of cultists, demons, and some seriously unsettling sound design.

Combat’s a bit clunky by today’s standards (it is an N64 game), but there’s something satisfying about blasting enemies with a shotgun while exploring pitch-black temples. The puzzles aren’t brain-melters, but they fit the vibe—lots of skull keys, ritual altars, and cryptic whispers guiding you. First time I played, I got lost in Deadside for like an hour because the map’s no help, but that kinda adds to the horror.

If you’re into dark, janky gems with a killer atmosphere, this one’s still worth digging up.
