About Seicross
Seicross came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, published by Nichibutsu. It was part of that wave of NES games that tried to blend different genres, in this case combining racing with top-down shooting. You don't see many games that attempt this particular mix from that period.
You control a small rescue bike, navigating maze-like stages from an overhead view. Your main goal is to rescue all the stranded Petras people in each level while fending off the Basrah enemies. The core mechanics involve racing against a strict time limit, collecting power-ups to improve your bike's speed and weaponry, and carefully navigating the multi-screen stages which wrap around the edges. The pacing is relentless; the timer is always counting down, and enemies respawn constantly, making it a challenging scramble. Playing Seicross feels like a frantic race where you are constantly balancing exploration with survival.
