Ever stumble across one of those weird, hyper-specific Japanese educational games from the NES era? Sansuu 3 Nen - Keisan Game is exactly that—a math drill disguised as a game, meant for third graders in Japan. You get these simple arithmetic problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication) popping up, and you’ve gotta answer fast before time runs out.
It’s not exactly thrilling, but there’s something oddly charming about how straightforward it is. The music’s peppy, the graphics are bare-bones, and if you’re rusty on quick mental math, it’ll definitely call you out. I played it for about 10 minutes before realizing I was way slower at multiplication than I thought.
Definitely more of a curiosity than a must-play, but if you’re into retro oddities or just want to test your basic math reflexes, it’s a neat little time capsule.
