Sanrio Carnival 2 on NES is one of those weirdly charming early Nintendo games where Hello Kitty and friends get thrown into a bizarre mix of mini-games. You’ve got Pompompurin racing in a bumper car, My Melody doing some light puzzle-solving—it’s all over the place, but in a way that somehow works. The controls are janky by today’s standards, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the clunky arcade-style chaos.

It’s definitely not deep, but if you’re into retro kitsch or just want to see Sanrio characters in pixelated 8-bit glory, it’s a fun little time capsule. The music’s catchy too, in that repetitive NES way where you’ll hum it for days without meaning to.
