Sanrio Carnival 2 (japan) Game

Sanrio Carnival 2 is one of those weird, charming NES games that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s basically a Hello Kitty fever dream. You pick from Sanrio’s lineup (Kitty, My Melody, even that little frog dude) and jump into these chaotic mini-games—racing, memory matching, even a weird balloon-popping thing. The controls are janky in that classic NES way, but the colors are bright, the music’s catchy, and there’s something oddly satisfying about watching Keroppi fail at a rhythm game.
It’s not deep, but it’s the kind of game you throw on when you just want to zone out for 20 minutes with something colorful and silly. The two-player mode’s actually decent if you’ve got a friend who tolerates retro nonsense. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s pure 8-bit fluff, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
