Same Game Game

Same Game on the Game Boy is one of those deceptively simple puzzlers that hooks you fast. You start with a grid of colored blocks, tapping away groups of the same color to clear them—sounds easy, right? Then you realize the board shifts unpredictably after each move, and suddenly you're second-guessing every tap.
I love how it starts gentle but ramps up fast—those later levels get brutal if you don't plan ahead. The monochrome screen actually works in its favor, making the shapes clearer than some cluttered modern match-3 games. It's pure strategy, no power-ups or timers, just you and the blocks.
Perfect for quick sessions or getting weirdly invested in optimizing your high score. Still holds up decades later.
