About Saint Seiya - Ougon Densetsu Kanketsu Hen (japan)
Saint Seiya: Ougon Densetsu Kanketsu Hen came out in 1988 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, though it was a Japan exclusive Famicom release from Bandai. It was a sequel that continued the story from the first game, arriving at a time when many licensed anime titles were being adapted for the console.
You control one of the five Bronze Saints, moving through side scrolling stages and fighting mythological enemies. Your main goal is to defeat the Gold Saints within a twelve hour time limit to save Athena. The combat relies on timing your Cosmo energy to execute special attacks, and you can switch between characters before each stage to use their unique abilities. The game is known for its demanding difficulty, requiring precise inputs and careful management of your health and Cosmo gauges. Playing it feels like a constant test of your reflexes and patience.
