Sd Gundam Gaiden - Knight Gundam Monogatari 2 - Hikari No Kishi (japan) Game
📅 1991

Ever played one of those weird, charming NES RPGs that never left Japan? SD Gundam Gaiden 2 is exactly that—a chibi Gundam fantasy where your robot knights actually wear capes and swing swords instead of firing beam rifles. The sprites are tiny but packed with personality, and the overworld music has this weirdly heroic vibe that makes grinding through random battles less painful.
You start off picking between three classes (I went with the Knight because, come on, it’s in the title), and within minutes you’re smacking slimes in a forest that looks like it’s made of construction paper. The menus are all in Japanese, but if you’ve played enough old-school RPGs, you can kinda fumble through it. Pro tip: save often. The difficulty spikes are brutal if you wander into the wrong area too early.
It’s not the deepest RPG out there, but there’s something oddly satisfying about watching a tiny Gundam in armor charge into battle with a comically oversized sword.
