Rush 2 was one of those N64 racers that just felt wild compared to the more serious stuff like F-Zero. You start off picking between these ridiculous cars—some handle like boats, others fishtail if you breathe on the stick wrong—and then you're immediately thrown into these massive city tracks with shortcuts hidden in alleyways and parking garages. The stunt mode was my favorite, launching off ramps in Vegas or doing barrel rolls in some desert airfield.
Graphics were blocky even for the time, but the sense of speed when you hit nitro and the way buildings blurred past made up for it. Also, good luck not crashing into every single light pole in San Francisco—those hills are brutal. It's janky, chaotic, and way more fun than it has any right to be.
