Rush 2 was one of those N64 racers that didn’t get enough love back in the day. Yeah, it’s got the usual speed and chaos, but what stuck with me were the tracks—some wild, off-the-wall designs like racing through a desert with a massive UFO hovering overhead. And the shortcuts? Half the fun was figuring out which ramps actually led somewhere useful and which ones just sent you flying into oblivion.
It’s not the prettiest racer on the system, but the handling’s solid, and there’s something satisfying about nailing a perfect drift around a hairpin turn. Plus, the stunt mode was ridiculous in the best way—who doesn’t want to launch a car off a ramp just to see how many flips they can pull off?
If you’re into arcade-style racing with a little extra weirdness, this one’s still a blast to revisit.
