About Roundball - 2-on-2 Challenge
Roundball: 2-on-2 Challenge was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System by Mindscape. It arrived during a period when sports games were establishing a foothold on the console, offering a more focused alternative to the full five-on-five simulations.
You control one of two players on a two-person basketball team, with the option for four-player simultaneous action. The main objective is to outscore the opposing team by moving the ball downcourt, passing to your teammate, and shooting baskets. Signature mechanics include stealing the ball with a well-timed button press and performing a turbo-boosted dribble for a quick burst of speed. The pacing is fast, and the computer opponents can be relentless on defense, making ball security a constant concern.
