Man, Roger Clemens MVP Baseball on Game Boy takes me back. You boot it up, and right away you get that classic 8-bit baseball vibe—pixelated players, tinny crowd noises, the works. The pitching feels surprisingly solid for such an old handheld game, and batting? Way more satisfying than it has any right to be.
First thing you’ll notice is how simple it is—no crazy stats or deep rosters, just pick a team and go. The fielding’s a little janky (good luck catching line drives), but once you get the timing down, you’ll be pulling off double plays like it’s nothing. And yeah, the nostalgia hits hard—especially when you hear that little victory jingle after a win.
It’s not perfect, but for a Game Boy baseball game, it holds up better than most. You can tell they squeezed every bit of fun out of those tiny cartridges.
