Rockman Dash on N64 is one of those weird, charming 3D experiments Capcom tried with Mega Man back in the day. You’re still blasting robots, but now you’re running around blocky towns, talking to NPCs, and digging up ancient ruins like some kind of cybernetic archaeologist. The controls take a minute to get used to—jumping feels floaty, and aiming in full 3D isn’t as tight as the classic side-scrollers—but there’s something oddly satisfying about the clunky exploration.
First 10 minutes? You’ll be smacking pirate bots with your arm cannon, then stumbling into a town where everyone’s obsessed with digging up "refractors." The story’s goofy in that classic Mega Man way, and the chunky N64 graphics give it this weirdly cozy vibe. Not the best Mega Man game, but if you’re into late-’90s jank with heart, it’s a fun time capsule.
