Rockman 2 (or Mega Man 2, depending on where you grew up) is one of those NES classics that just feels right. You jump in as the blue bomber, blasting through eight robot masters with their own wild stages—Heat Man’s level has these disappearing block sections that’ll make you sweat, and Quick Man’s lasers? Brutal. But nailing the boss order (hint: Metal Blade is broken) and stealing their weapons never gets old.

The music alone is iconic—that Wily Stage 1 theme still gets stuck in my head. It’s tough but fair, and when you finally take down the last boss, it’s pure satisfaction. Still holds up decades later.
