RoboCop 3 on NES is one of those licensed games that actually tries to do something interesting—even if it’s still rough around the edges. You’re back in the armored boots of Murphy, blasting through waves of OCP’s goons with a beefed-up arsenal. That multi-weapon arm attachment? Yeah, it’s as fun as it sounds—switching between a cannon and smart bombs while dodging ED-209s never gets old.
The levels throw everything at you: tanks, snipers, even those creepy Otomo cyborgs. It’s not just mindless shooting, though—you’ve got to time your shots and pick your upgrades carefully. The first time I got swarmed by Rehab Officers while low on health, I learned real quick that charging in like Rambo doesn’t work here.
It’s janky in that classic NES way, but there’s a weird charm to it. If you’re into tough-but-fair action games with a retro vibe, this one’s worth a few credits.
