About Robowarrior
RoboWarrior came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed and published by Hudson Soft. It was part of that wave of early NES games that mixed action with exploration, landing in a period where developers were still figuring out what worked on the console. You control a lone soldier in a powered suit, navigating a series of overhead-view caverns.
Your main goal is to fight through each stage, find a set number of keys, and locate the exit door. You move screen by screen through maze-like dungeons, using bombs as your primary tool. These bombs destroy rocks blocking your path, defeat enemies, and sometimes reveal hidden power-ups or items. The pacing is deliberate; you have to think about your bomb placement and resource management, as running out of bombs can leave you stranded. It feels like a tense, methodical puzzle where every explosion counts.
