RoboCop 2 on NES is exactly what you'd expect—a clunky but weirdly charming side-scroller where you stomp through Detroit blasting criminals as the iconic cyborg cop. The controls feel stiff by today's standards (good luck nailing those precise jumps), but there's something satisfying about the way enemies crumple when you unload your auto-9 into them.
First level throws you right into the chaos: dodging molotovs from punks in alleyways, taking potshots at helicopters, and occasionally running into those awkward platforming sections where RoboCop moves like a tank with rusty joints. The music's got that classic NES vibe—synthesized beats that somehow make shooting drug dealers feel heroic.
It's not the best licensed game out there, but if you're nostalgic for late 80s action cheese, it hits the spot. Just don't expect it to play fair.
