So, Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves on NES—yeah, it’s exactly as weird as it sounds. You start off locked up in some dungeon in Jerusalem, and your first job is to bust out by throwing rocks, dodging guards, and generally causing chaos. The controls take a second to get used to (why is "jump" on Z again?), but once you’re out, it turns into this weird mix of platforming and exploration. You’ll climb vines, swing on ropes, and occasionally get ambushed by dudes with swords who clearly didn’t read the "merry men" memo.
Honestly, half the fun is figuring out what you’re even supposed to do next—no hand-holding here. And yeah, the graphics are blocky, but there’s something charming about how over-the-top the whole thing feels. If you’re into janky old NES games with more ambition than polish, this one’s a trip. Just don’t expect it to play fair.
Controls: Arrow keys to move, Z to jump (A-button), X to attack (B-button), and Enter to pause. Good luck—you’ll need it.
