Roadster (japan) Game

Roadster is one of those weird little Game Boy racers that feels like it shouldn’t work but somehow does. You’ve got these tiny, blocky cars zipping around tracks that look like they were drawn in MS Paint, and the controls are just stiff enough to make every turn feel like a gamble. At first, I thought it was just another forgettable racer, but after a few races, the weird charm kicks in—especially when you realize how punishing the AI gets if you don’t nail your drifts.
It’s definitely a product of its time, with that classic Game Boy green-on-black aesthetic and a soundtrack that’s basically just beeps pretending to be engine noises. But if you’re into retro racing games with a bit of jank, this one’s worth a lap or two. Just don’t expect anything close to realism—half the fun is watching your car slide around like it’s on ice.
